Twice a year, Messiah members journey to Tijuana to construct two 12x12 foot houses for needy families there. Packets of school supplies, clothing, and other items are also given out to the local people. Group picture in front of house

Through donations, offerings, and an annual silent auction, we raise the $1,500 needed per house for building supplies, transportation, and insurance. The youth center there provides sleeping quarters for Friday night and construction takes place all of Saturday. In twenty-four hours we touch the lives of two families and help to spread God's love through our actions.

No Experience Needed

No experience in construction is needed. As well as building the house, other ways of helping include painting, preparing lunch for the crew, handing out supplies to the local people and playing with the children there. Trips usually take place in Fall and Spring. Call or email the church to find out when our next trip is or to receive a free Power Point presentation and brochure.

The mission is assisted by Lutheran Border Concerns and the local churches there.
